JAAC Awards 2008

JUMP Annual Award Ceremony (JAAC) is an event hosted by JUMP annually to publicly recognise and honour the young people we work with their peers, parents/guardians, funders and various supporters from the private and public sector as well as the wider community for outstanding contributions that they are making to their local and international communities.

JAAC event provides an exceptional opportunity for young people, who most, have overcome disruptive personal and social circumstances to become exemplary members of their community and to celebrate their progress.

In the June 2006 Adrian Blake-Williams, Otis Trezel, Ethan Bernard, Tashomi Balfour and Tekla Balfour all took part in the ‘Skies Da Limit’ challenge. They climbed the highest peak in England Scafel Pike located in the Lake District with the expert help of Chris Dunning of the Rank Foundation, in order to raise money for an orphanage development in the township Kwa Mashu, South Africa. It was a great success as well as having an awesome time scaling this height the guys managed to raise around £800 for the cause.
