As a youth charity we are dedicated to developing and nurturing the future leaders of tomorrow. Based in the heart of Lewisham, a borough recognised by the Government as being amongst the most deprived areas in Britain, and impacted by gang culture, gun crime and educational underachievement, we recognise these factors can be crippling to the lives of its young people.
Undeterred by the negative media reports, government statistics and social stereotypes on youths, JUMP purpose was to stand in the gap and appropriate relevant provisions for local young people.
Eight years on, JUMP continues to provide effective programmes and services that challenge young people to address negative thinking that often fuels destructive behaviour, which affects them and the community as a whole. JUMP successfully works with a growing number of disadvantaged young people by supporting, re-educating and developing their talent and abilities to not only benefit themselves but their entire community.
